They range from wine-tastings to live music, as well as kid-friendly activities. The best part? Most of these events are free!

Weekend Events in Copperas Cove

Pack a picnic, bring some lawn chairs and blankets, and enjoy a free Movie in the Park this Saturday. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. on Field 5 at Copperas Cove City Park, 1206 West Avenue B.  The 1993 film 'Cool Runnings' will start at dark.

Gatesville Weekend Events

This Saturday, the 2022 Spring Fest at Texas Station Event Center in Gatesville is free until 6 pm. Three live bands will be performing, along with a cornhole tournament and a BBQ cookoff. This event is BYOB and you can also bring your own chair.

Harker Heights Weekend Events

Bring your furry friends to Paws in the Park for a day of fun in Harker Heights! This free, dog friendly event for all ages will include activities such as an agility course, pet adoptions, contests, pet services, and pet products available for purchase.

Killeen Weekend Events

Family Fun Day is a free afternoon of good times, featuring a magic show, cornhole, games, food trucks, plus much more. It starts in downtown Killeen on East Avenue D at  1 pm and wraps up at 5 pm Saturday afternoon.

Weekend Events in Salado

Admission is free to the 22nd Annual Wildflower Arts & Crafts Festival this Saturday and Sunday in Salado at the Civic Center. This is a family-friendly event with food, live music, arts and crafts, plus other activities.

Temple Weekend Events

Rose the Roof 5K is a run to 'raise the roof' for a local Habitat for Humanity home. Starting at 9 a.m., run through the vines at 3 Texans Winery in Temple, or go straight to the sip and stroll portion where you can just walk and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine. There will be food trucks and live entertainment at the event as well.

Sona Wine Bar & Small Plates hosts the 3rd annual Global Rose Wine Festival begins this Saturday at 3 pm in Temple. Enjoy tastings of rose, white, and light red wines from around the world. There will also be free food samples, live music, a photo booth, and many more activities. Dress in pink for your chance to win a prize.

The 14th Annual Hog Fest is Saturday from Noon - 4 p.m. at Horny Toad Harley-Davidson at 7454 S General Bruce Drive in Temple. CVMA 23-10 will be accepting donations benefiting the Combat Veteran’s Association to assist local veterans.

As you can tell, it will be a busy weekend for Central Texas. If you can't find something to do, you can only blame yourself!
