One Dead After Two Vehicle Crash in Temple

One person was killed and another hospitalized after a two vehicle collision Thursday morning in Temple.

According to a press release, emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of SE HK Dodge Loop and State Highway 95 at 10:29 am after a pick-up truck collided with an 18-wheeler. The driver of the pick-up was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was transported to Scott & White Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed while investigators work to determine how the crash occurred. It was reopened around 3 pm according to Thomas Pechal with Temple Fire & Rescue.
