Rescue Crews Searching for Possible Teen Drowning Victim at Temple Lake Park

UPDATE: Crews recovered the body of the missing teen at 3:15 PM. The victim's name had not yet been released as of 3:54 PM.

A dive crew was searching Lake Belton Monday afternoon for a possible teenage drowning victim.

Emergency responders were called to Temple Lake Park around 1:30 PM after receiving a report of a person going under the water and never coming back.

The victim is reportedly a Belton High Student who was participating in Senior Skip Day and swimming with friends. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.
