MOSCOW (AP) — A senior Russian official says the Boston Marathon bombings could have been prevented if American officials had followed through with Russian intelligence. The Interfax news agency quotes the speaker of Russia's senate as saying Moscow warned U.S. officials about bombing suspects Tamerlan (TAM'-ehr-luhn) and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR' tsahr-NEYE'-ehv), but the information "was not taken seriously." Until now, officials have stuck to President Vladimir Putin's statement that Russia had no information that could have prevented the attacks.
