The Temple Daily Telegram is among several media outlets reporting a recall for Taco Seasoning sold at local Walmart and H-E-B locations.

Great Value and H-E-B are recalling taco seasoning mix due to possible salmonella contamination. Williams Foods has made the recall voluntary over possible contamination of the cumin spice that is in the recipe of the taco mix which comes from Mincing Spice Company.

Mincing issued a recall for a specific batch of cumin that tested positive as potentially contaminated. A portion of that batch was sent out to Williams Food for use in the taco seasoning sold by Walmart and H-E-B. Just when you thought there was gonna be a taco party this weekend. Doh!
