You've been seeing and hearing about it EVERY. WHERE. and today the Disney+ streaming service officially launched and social media is going crazy.

The Walt Disney Company has been promoting the launch of this service for several years boasting about its massive library of classic Disney films, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and even 20th Century Fox content including every episode of The Simpsons from the show's 30 years on television.

Now of course this service is not free although there is a Free 7-day trial. It's cheaper than Netflix at $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year but if you're a Verizon wireless subscriber like I am, you can get the service for free for one year. I wasn't interested in Disney+ at all until that interesting tidbit came into play so I signed up and I'm locked in at least for a year.

I got totally excited and downloaded the app to my phone and followed the login instructions and got into the site only to see THIS:

At this point is was 11:00 AM and my first thought was "Everybody is logged in crushing the site, SHOULDN'T YOU PEOPLE BE AT WORK???!!"

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, Disney didn't expect the demand to be this crazy.

“The consumer demand for Disney Plus has exceeded our high expectations,” Disney said in a morning statement. “We are pleased by this incredible response and are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.” - via Salt Lake Tribune

It wasn't long before they resolved their issues and things were back up and running and I gotta say:

My apologies to my bosses, but I'ma keep it real with you chief, writing this article is the only thing I've done on the clock today.

Like a kid with a remote control and a short attention span, I've been jumping back and forth between old Disney movies from the 80's when I was a kid to Star Wars exclusives to watching re-watching the Marvel Universe movies from the beginning.

There really is A LOT of content on here and if you're still a kid at heart like myself or just looking for a family friendly streaming option, then this is the one for you.

Oh, dear "woke folks": Disney's infamous "Song Of The South" is not on there, but I'm sure there's other "problematic" content in those older Disney movies you'll be able to find. Have fun searching for it all.
