Spring Break Idea: The Houston Zoo
Maybe Theme Parks aren't your thing, how about this for a great day-cation for Spring Break 2021! The Houston Zoo will extend its hours of operations and will open at 8 AM and close at 6 PM with the last entry happening at 5 PM. Enjoy the Houston Zoo and close it out with dinner at a place that you can't eat at in Victoria. That sounds like a perfect day to me.
According to Click2Houston there will be many exciting extras going on during Spring Break 2K21. Our friends at TXU Energy will also present Prehistoric Beasts, which will offer guests an awesome opportunity to take an up-close look at the giant predators that once roamed the earth, according to the Houston Zoo. The exhibit will feature a dozen animatronic prehistoric creatures, like an eight-foot-tall terror bird, a saber-toothed tiger, and T-Rex’s larger cousin Giganotosaurus.
The Houston Zoo said its health and safety guidelines are still in effect after the governor announced the ending of the statewide mask order and reopening I am not sure if how the capacity issue will be addressed, but we do know that mask will still be required. All visitors 10 years and older are required to wear a face mask. Proper social distancing is encouraged. Zoo staff is continuously cleaning and disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and freehand sanitizer is available throughout the zoo.
If theme parks are your thing head out to San Antonio this weekend and enjoy rides with limited waits before capacity is increased.
