KWTX's Paul J. Gately and Neal Klaeser reported that a teenager had to be rescued after becoming stuck in a grain elevator Thursday morning.

The incident occurred in Clifton at Payne Agribusiness at 122 South Avenue D. The teenager that was stuck, was a 16 year old boy. He suffered minor injuries, and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

The teenager ended up being surrounded by grain up to his armpits, after he was attempting to enter the elevator to clean an auger.

The elevator he was attempting to clean was almost empty of grain, but enough was present to be a potential threat to rescuers attempting to get the teenager. Firefighters at the scene were nervous that additional grain could fall on the teenager.
