Temple was certainly lively as new doctors and nurses were welcomed into the family at Baylor Scott and White Health. Vendors from all around Temple welcomed the newest members of the medical family at the Frank W. Mayborn Center. The event, the 2022 Baylor Scott & White Health Community Showcase, showed all new doctors and nurses the joys of neighborhood they were joining shortly.

With the number of vendors in the Mayborn Center, new members certainly had much to look at in 2 hours the event took place. From food like Raising Cane’s to Whataburger, to places to get pampered like Dapper and Dashin’ Salon Shop and Salon Karen, new members certainly knew what was in store for their new home.

Kaylee Blumenfeld, the event coordinator of the showcase shed some light on why the event was brought about when reached for comment:

"The Baylor Scott and White Showcase was created in a effort to welcome the new residents to Temple. While they're here over their 3 or 4 years we just wanted to give them a way to meet local businesses and just feel comfortable in Temple and make it their new home, and possibly encourage them to stay even after their residency."
