Texas' love of tacos paid off big time for a San Antonio woman who created a new flavor for Lay's potato chips and won $1 million.

Back in August, Ellen Sarem of San Antonio was named as a finalist in Frito-Lay's 'Do Us A Flavor' contest, in which fans of the salty, crispy snacks were asked to submit new ideas for flavors. Sarem's "Crispy Taco" was up against "Everything Bagel with Sour Cream" and "Fried Green Tomato".

Food and Wine Magazine reports that Ellen's tasty taco taste was voted #1 on the Frito-Lay website, Twitter, and Instagram. The editors said they tried the other two flavors and weren't impressed, but found Ellen's flavor to be "like eating taco meat. Not a bad thing." They said they'd definitely be down for eating it again.

Ellen told KENS-TV she chose to submit the taco flavor because it was the first dish she made for her fiance. She said she plans to set aside money for her son, and that some will go toward a family vacation.

Congrats, Ellen!
