We first shared the news in May, after learning that a Dutch Bros Coffee shop would be taking the place of the old Long John Silver's at 201 North General Bruce Drive. Shortly after we learned of the second location on West Adams. Originally, reports stated that the new locations would open late 2021, or early 2022.

Luckily for us, construction crews were working hard, and have already completed one location! I seriously was checking for updates constantly because the anticipation was HIGH! You could say I'm excited, very excited actually, just like local operator Josh DeCelles.

“We’re so excited to open our newest shop in Temple,” Josh said. “We can’t wait to serve everyone Monday!”

Dutch Bros Coffee has already opened a location in Killeen, and word on the street is that this coffee is GOOD! Plus, another location in Waco is also underway, meaning you won't have to travel too far any direction in Central Texas to get your fix of java.

Here are the official hours for the new location:

MON-THU: 05AM-10PM
FRI-SAT: 05AM-11PM
SUN: 05AM-10PM

Plus, Dutch Bros Coffee doesn't just serve coffee, they also sell smoothies, energy drinks, teas, sodas, and boast a menu of more than 10,000 drink combinations. Don't forget to grab a treat like a chocolate chip muffin top, granola bar, or even a lemon poppy-seed muffin top to compliment your beverage.

Who's heading out for the grand opening? I know I'll be there!

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
