UMHB Faces New Blood In Semifinals
UMHB has reached the semifinal for the third time in five years. The Crusaders faced a very formidable opponent in the St. Thomas Tommies, whom they haven't ever played before in the program history.
The UMHB Crusaders got quite the challenge from the St. Thomas Tommies, with the score at the beginning of the fourth quarter being 10-10. The Tommies would give up two touchdowns to UMHB in an 80 second span that sealed things for the Crusaders.
Bryce Wilkerson took back a 67 yard punt return to give UMHB a 17-10 lead. Senior cornerback, Kris Brown, intercepted Tommies quarterback Jacques Parra for a 33 yard interception return to give UMHB a 24-10 lead. That score would hold, and be the final score of the game.
The UMHB Crusaders will now face more new blood in the semifinals, with a matchup against Brockport. Brockport comes in with an unblemished record just as the Cru at 13-0. Brockport won their NCAA Divsion III National Quarterfinal game 31-28 on a last second field goal against Delaware Valley. The Crusaders will be playing Saturday December 9th at Crusader Stadium, but a time has not be set for kickoff.
