Art lovers rejoice! The Temple Transcontinental Art Fair returns to the Mayborn Convention Center this weekend.

The doors open Saturday, August 19 from 10 AM to 5 PM and the next day from 11 AM to 4 PM. Admittance to the fair is free, but those attending will need to pay for art and concessions.

Proceeds from the event help support the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum.

“We are excited to host this event for the second year in a row,” said Railroad & Heritage Museum Director Stephanie Long. “We have been able to secure some amazing new artists who will be showcasing their work this year, so if you love art, you definitely won’t want to miss it.”

Nationally recognized artists from across the State of Texas will be displaying and selling their original work, including oil and acrylic paintings, prints, photos, mixed media, wooden crafts, jewelry, leather goods, and more.

The Mayborn Convention Center is located at 3303 North 3rd St. in Temple. For more information about the Transcontinental Art Fair or the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum, visit templerrhm.org.
