If the Supreme Court is going to tamper with marriage, it might want to consider millions within the Christian faith who hold it sacred. The basis of marriage is from Matthew 19: “God made them male and female. For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no man put asunder.” I’m assuming this passage is not read at gay weddings. But it will be problematic if the Court changes the definition of marriage for the entire country. Lots of Christians—who vote – may turn against the Democrats who already have Obamacare hanging around their necks. And what if preachers speak out against homosexuality from the pulpit? Under the new marriage definition, being gay is normalized. So will preaching
against it be a hate crime? We have a big can of worms here. Those who open it, beware.
