Belton Attorney Robert ‘Bucky’ Harris Passes Away

Sad news out of Belton this week as Bell County criminal defense attorney Robert O. "Bucky" Harris passed away at his home yesterday.

Harris was wounded serving in Vietnam and suffered lingering health setbacks for years as a result. Paul J. Gately with KWTX reports that Harris passed away early Thursday morning from what appears to have been a heart attack.

Harris followed in the footsteps of his father Robert Harris who was one of the first lawyers to open an office in Killeen. Robert attended Killeen High School and was issued his law degree from Baylor University. Harris specialized in criminal defense and was associated with the Cornish Law Firm.

Funeral arrangments are pending.
