The FDA has released a statement about Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. The Baltimore based company is recalling some of it's birth control pills, Mibelas 24 Fe tablets, due to a risk of contraceptive failure.

It seems that some of the pills might be out of order. Somehow the package got rotated 180 degrees, which means the first 4 pills of the week might be a placebo instead of the desired active tablets.

So, when you take the pills out of order, it's like not taking any at all. The goal is wide open baby!

The lot numbers are L600518 with an expiry date of May 31, 2018.

If you have the affected product, you need to notify you doctor and return the pills to whatever pharmacy you got them from.
