The Innovation Black Chamber of Commerce of Killeen, Texas is hosting an inaugural community economic resource summit this year. They have truly outdone themselves when it comes to assisting and educating the community, and now they want to do more to help local businesses network and provide opportunities.
COMMUNITY ECONOMIC RESOURCE SUMMIT 2022
I spoke to Chairman Khandiese Cooper, who explained to me that this event will be an opportunity for Central Texas has been needing for a very long time, especially for people of color. Organizers have teamed up with Workforce Solutions of Central Texas for an event at the Killeen Civic and Conviction Center from 10 AM to 3 PM Wednesday, July 27.
COME OUT A SEE YOUR COMMUNITY THRIVE
This organization has done its research and homework when it comes to understanding the needs of both employers and potential employees. There'll be presentations on local business initiatives and strategies, resources for hiring veterans (or being hired if you are a veteran), economic drivers, and more.
The idea is to strengthen the bonds between local business owners and give valuable insight to those currently building and growing their enterprise.
If you found yourself this year having difficulties when it comes to unemployment or you just want to learn from local pros how to make your business truly thrive in Central Texas, this is definitely an event you want to attend.
