A car crash in Marlin Wednesday morning left some people without water service.

Christy Soto with our news partner, KWTX, reports that a vehicle crashed into a fire hydrant on Parks Street around 3 AM. By 4 AM, crews were shutting off valves and locating water lines in an effort to isolate the leak and direct water from towers.

Water pressure was expected to be back to normal within a few hours, but a boil notice was put in place until test can confirm the water is safe for consumption. Meanwhile, Marlin ISD was relying on bottled water to keep staff and students hydrated.
