Credit Card Skimmer Found At Central Texas Gas Station

KWTX reported that a credit card skimmer was found at a Central Texas gas station pump on Thursday morning. The skimmer was found at Kay’s Travel Center at 1520 South Interstate 35 in Bellmead.

The managers of Kay's Travel Center said, they found the skimmer on pump number 7 at the location. Authorities added, “No other pump has evidence of tampering."

Authorities said the skimmer looks like it may have been out in place five days. The authorities are telling any drivers who may have used that pump, that they should monitor their accounts carefully.

The authorities said, "If you locate fraudulent use, please report it to your local law enforcement agency, contact your credit card company or bank and consider contacting the three credit report bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and Trans Union for discussion about placing alerts on your credit."
