Governor Abbot In Killeen Today For November 5, 2009 Memorial Dedication
The City of Killeen along with The November 5, 2009 Fort Hood Memorial Committee will host a dedication ceremony and unveiling of the November 5, 2009 Fort Hood Memorial Friday at 3 p.m. at Killeen Civic and Conference Center, 3601 South W.S. Young Drive.
The memorial, located next to the conference center, pays tribute to the 13 killed and 32 injured November 5, 2009 during the attack at Fort Hood. More than $400,000 in donations has made the memorial a reality.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott will attend to present the keynote address and Texas Purple Hearts to the family of the fallen and to the wounded.
