If you did not know already, the autumn season is definitely my favorite time of year. We get ready to open up the pumpkin spice-flavored coffees, grab our boots and scarves, and most importantly, load up on candy for Halloween. The trunk or treat/harvest festivals are always awesome, and there's one coming to Harker Heights, Texas that definitely needs to be on your family's trick-or-treat checklist.

ARE YOU READY TO HAVE SOME FUN THIS HALLOWEEN IN HARKER HEIGHTS?

Carolyn Brown, also known as the Godmother of Central Texas, is having her Fourth Annual Harvest Fest Family Night at the Harker Heights Event Center, 710 Edwards Dr. in Harker Heights, on October 31 from 5 PM to 8 PM.

It's the perfect opportunity to fill those treat bags at a safe and family-friendly event. There'll also be a costume contest, as well as music, plenty of games, delicious treats, and let’s not forget the awesome car show.

GET READY FOR THE 4TH ANNUAL FALL PARTY AND TRUNK OR TREAT

The community definitely comes out and shows up for one another at this event, and this year should prove that once again. Come out and have a festive time with your family, and don’t forget your costume!

I was able to take my son to the festivities last year, and he had a ball and could not wait to come back this year.

A special thank you is in order for Carolyn and all she does for the Harker Heights community.

Happy Halloween!

Top 20 Restaurants Central Texans Wish Would Come to Temple

A while back, I asked the good people of Temple if they could picture a good restaurant to fill the lot on North General Bruce Drive where the soon to be torn down Long John Silver's stood.

This was before it was announced that a Dutch Bros. Coffee location would open there (which was one of the places I predicted as a contender in our article).

So now Dutch Bros. is open in that spot, but the responses to my survey were interesting because they paint a picture of just how diverse Temple's population is. People recommended some familiar restaurants with locations in the surrounding area, but also a few I'd never even heard of.

Here are the top 20 results of the survey. Let's see what the good people of Temple are craving!
