Waco authorities are on the search for a hit and run driver that evaded the scene of an accident. KWTX's Dacota Taylor reported that a BMW hit a Waco fire truck that was on the scene for an accident that occurred Tuesday morning.

The Waco Fire Department truck and the crew were on the scene for an accident that occurred around 11:00 a.m.. The accident took place at South 12th Street and Speight Avenue.

Waco Fire Marshal Kevin Vranich said the BMW, which had a paper license plate and dark tinted windows, slammed into the rig while it was on the scene.

The driver of the early 2000s model BMW sped away from the scene after hitting the fire truck. The BMW has heavy damage to the driver's side and was also leaking fluids.
