Killeen’s Jershika Maple Had the Crowd at The Voice “Beggin” for an Encore Last Night
If you missed Killeen, Texas native Jershika Maples's performance last night (Nov 8) on NBC's The Voice, you missed a powerful vocalist bringing the house down!
Jershika is a member of Team Legend, and she was absolutely amazing! Wearing the cutest baby doll black sequin dress and sassy leather jacket, this songstress displayed the strong stage presence that has helped her consistently put on a show worth talking about the next day.
Jershika performed "Beggin" by The Four Seasons. Pretty bold taking on a Frakie Vallie song, right?
So just imagine being an R&B singer with the challenge of singing a rock ‘n’ roll classic and executing it absolutely perfectly. Jershika made it look (and sound) easy, and each week she makes Central Texas so proud. Her voice is absolutely incredible! When you listen to how she controls the ranges during her performances, you are just hypnotized by it.
The talent of this young woman is undeniable.
I’m not just saying this because she is a native of my hometown: I truly think that Jershika is going to win this whole competition! Every time we hear this woman perform, she’s definitely giving her all. She allows you to feel what she feels with every note, and you really feel like you're on a a musical journey with her.
What I can promise Central Texas is that you will for sure get an update from me about Jershika as long as she’s on the show. Every week, she continues to show the world the caliber of talent they'll find here in Central Texas.
Do not forget to vote for our hometown sweetheart here. While she sings her heart out, we should definitely be in her corner!
