Man Gunned Down at Central Texas Restaurant

UPDATE: Victim of Shooting at Waco Red Lobster Passed Away Tuesday Afternoon

It sounds like a movie hit, but it happened in real life Tuesday in Waco.

KWTX is reporting that a man was shot in his car at the Red Lobster near the Richland Mall. At last report, he was taken to a local hospital with what Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton described as significant injuries.

It seems the police responded to what was initially a traffic accident, as the victim ran into another vehicle after he was shot.

Sgt. Swanton said that it appeared a man jumped out of a big wheeled white pickup driven by another man, shot the victim, then got back into the truck and the two fled the scene.
