KWTX's Clint Webb reported that a Central Texas school district closed its doors Tuesday due to a power outage.

The Gholston Independent School District sent its 260 students home early Tuesday morning for a power outage. District officials began running buses at 10:30 a.m. to take kids to their bus stops. Parents were allowed to come pick their children up from the schools at 10:30 a.m. as well.

The district made sure to reach out to parent  and contact them about the very unfortunate situation that took place in the Gholston ISD on Tuesday.
