Early Morning Fire Leaves Family Without Power in Waco

With these frigid temperatures about to hit Central Texas, the one thing you don't want to be without is power to your home.

KWTX's Rhyan Henson reported that a family of three were without power early Monday morning due to a fire.

The small fire occurred in the 3000 block of Fedal Avenue in Waco around 1 AM, and was the result of a branch falling on a power line according to a Waco fire official.

Oncor had the power cut off within the hour to stop the downed line from aiding the fire . Officials reported the family should have power back later on into Monday.
