Power Outage Puts Local Food Pantry in Dark
Electrical issues caused a local food back to suspend operations over the weekend.
A representative of Caritas of Waco said the facility's coolers lost power over the weekend, causing much of their food to spoil.
It was believed that food services wouldn't be available until Thursday, but the organization announced Monday afternoon that the pantry would reopen to clients at 1 PM Tuesday.
God is good.
Caritas' case management, clothing, and other non-food services were not impacted.
The Waco Caritas office services seven counties, working to help local families lift themselves out of poverty. They also offer services for veterans.
