A Tennessee man has left $5 million to his beloved four-legged friend, Lulu.

The millionaire dog club just added a new member to its pack - Lulu, a border collie. Lulu is the latest K-9 to hit the millionaire mark after her owner, Bill Dorris, passed away late last year.

According to a report from WTVF shared by our partners at KWTX, Bill's will read, “Five million dollars will be transferred to a trust to be formed upon my death for the care of my border collie, Lulu.”

Bill Dorris did a lot of traveling for his job, so his trusty border collie was taken care of by Marth Burton while he was away. Martha had been taking care of the dog for years and always made sure Lulu was kept happy and had company when Bill was away.

“He loved that dog,” Burton said. If he left her all that money, then it's safe to say he loved her a lot!

Burton is 88 years old and Lulu is 8. Like a typical 8-year-old, Lulu, Burton says, doesn't always do as she's told, but overall she's a good dog and companion.

Bill Dorris's estate is under probate, so the exact worth is still undetermined. According to Bill's friends, he had vast real estate holdings and investments so there should be plenty of money to keep Lulu, and Burton, happy and taken care of.

Burton admits that there is no way they could spend $5 million on Lulu but she would “like to try.”

So where does Lulu rank on the list of "World's Richest Animals?" I really don't know, but here are some of the animals who have found settled in to the "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous."

Compare the Market’s 2018 Pet Rich List was published in 2018, so there may have been some additions to this list since then. According to their report, Gunther IV is the richest animal in the world with a whopping $375 million. Gunther inherited his fortune from his father Gunther III, who inherited his millions from German countess Karlotta Leibenstein. Gunther is living the large life for sure!

Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, was probably the most famous and wealthiest cat in the world thanks to countless memes and media appearances, merchandise and even a film in 2014. Tadar Sauce died in 2019, but made about $99.5 million.

Outside of several dogs and cats that have found fortunes along the way, there's also a chicken that hit the jackpot. GiGoo got $15 million as inheritance when British multi-millionaire publisher Miles Blackwell passed away.

Some animals have all the luck. Maybe in my next life I'll come back as a dog owned by a multi-millionaire with nothing better to do with his money but to leave it to his pets.
