McLennan County Police Investigating After Inmate Burned

The McLennan's County Sheriff's Office has opened up an investigation after something bizarre happened to an inmate at a local jail.

KWTX's Rissa Shaw reports that an incident took place at the Jack Harwell Detention Center that resulted in the inmate being burned.

Kevin Kirvin, who is currently incarcerated on assault charges, was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center for treatment.

Authorities are unclear how the burns occurred, but Sheriff Parnell McNamara said that they are working to get to the bottom of how these injuries occurred.
