Back on March 9 (seems like a lifetime ago, doesn't it?), the Temple Police Department announced three finalists for the position of Chief of Police.

Temple citizens were supposed to get to meet these finalists at a live town hall meeting in late March, but the event was postponed due to COVID-19 precautions.

Since we're doing almost everything virtually these days, it was only natural that the reception for the finalists be hosted online.

You can meet Pedro Lopez, Jr., James Lowery, Jr., and Shawn Reynolds this Thursday, April 30. Just sign up for the free virtual town hall webinar here. The event will consist of an hour long Q&A session with all three candidates, followed by a 10-minute Q&A with each candidate individually.

If you have any questions for the candidates, you can submit them ahead of time here.

We've got a list of the candidates detailing their experience, qualifications, and backgrounds here.

We encourage folks in Temple to join the town hall if you can. After all, one of these men will be your new chief of police, so it's important to get to know each of them and ask any questions you may have.
