It's a special time of year for lots of High School Seniors in Central Texas!

Graduation season is right around the corner and lots of hard working students are about to get some well deserved recognition! Meet Andrew McMahon and Heather Parker of New Tech High School @ Waskow in Belton. Their efforts earned them the titles of Valedictorian and Salutatorian for this year's graduating class!

McMahon had his eyes on graduating first in the top spot as early as his freshman year. Now that he has accomplished this fantastic goal, he plans to go on to college at the University of Virginia to pursue a degree in statistics.

Parker finished the year in the second highest class position, earning her the honor of Salutatorian. She is headed to the University of Texas in Austin to study neurodegenerative disorders.

Both students spent their High School career's involved in marching band and wind ensemble. Best of luck to both these hard working young adults. New Tech High School's graduation is set for June 2nd. The event will be held at the Bell Country Expo Center.
