Remember when you were little, and saw pirates or treasure hunters on TV? It was  intriguing to me, to say the least, especially when it was a life changing amount of money. We're talking about "basically retire the rest of your life" money.

Let's be real, we ALL want that, and you can't argue with me on this one.

Well it turns out, according to KSAT, the state of Texas holds many types of life-changing treasure. In fact, there's over 229 sites that could hold something potentially valuable to many a person trying to strike it rich.

You read that right, 229 digging areas could hold some type of legendary item.

I've already grabbed my shovel to start digging, but where could I go to find something worth value?

For example, in the Franklin Mountains, a legend persists of conquistadors hiding their gold and jewels in a mine shift. Howevr, for those hoping to just walk into the mine and claim the rare items, the conquistadors allegedly filled in the mine. That way, only they could find the treasure.

If you don't want to dig through a mine, how about we travel to Round Rock? Sam Bass was an outlaw famous for many robberies, and according to legend, he placed his stolen goods in various places around the town. Leaving quite the trail for anyone seeking fame and fortune.

Onwards to the treasure, my fellow hunters! May we find riches beyond our wildest dreams.

Who Are The 5 Richest People in Texas, Not Counting Elon Musk?

There are more billionaires in America than in any other country, according to Stacker. For some people, the money just keeps pouring in, as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2026.

However, Bezos is not the world's richest person right now. That title goes to the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk. Musk owns a mansion in Austin but says his main home is a $50,000 rental from SpaceX in Boca Chica, Texas.

Forbes lists 63 billionaires in Texas, including Elon Musk. Let's find out who's at the top of the list in the Lone Star State for 2022, right behind Musk.
