Temple Fire and Rescue Feeding Families with Help of H-E-B
This time of year, we start talking about what we are going to eat on Turkey Thursday. Often, we get swept up in the anticipation of the gastric mega-feast that is Thanksgiving to such an extent we forget there are those just trying to make three square meals a day happen much less a big meal.
Temple Firefighters to the rescue! They're used to being heroes and they're at it again to help needy families in our area, collecting non-perishable food for Food for Families at the following locations:
- Saturday, November 5, 2016 from noon to 4 p.m., at H-E-B Grocery Store #1, at 1314 West Adams Avenue
- Saturday, November 12, 2014 from noon to 4 p.m., at H-E-B Grocery Store #2, at 3002 South 31st Street
Bring food items like canned meat, canned vegetables, peanut butter, baby food, cereal, dry beans, rice, flour, sugar, corn meal, pasta/sauces so they can "Stuff The Truck!" You'll be doing something kind and be able to meet the guys who fight what others fear.
Food donations may also be dropped off at any Temple Fire Station. Food collected will be delivered Friday, November 18th to the Temple collection site at the Baylor Scott & White North Parking Lot.
Meet your local firefighters and help extinguish hunger for our neighbors.
