Temple Veterans Community Set for Saturday February 24th
This is why America is great.
Even though the country shows signs of division, we all can come together for important situations.
The Temple Daily Telegram is reporting that Temple is building a Veterans community for homeless vets in the area.
It's truly sad that men and women of the greatest country ever, who've volunteered to defend said country, have to depend on the help of other men and women when their government abandons them.
Well now Temple will be building 13 duplexes for homeless veterans. It couldn't be done without the help of many.
The city of Temple reduced its charges for tap fees and building permits, which will save the project about $65,000.
Wilsonart is asking for volunteers from their employees and are expected to deliver between 500 and 1000 hours of volunteer work.
Lowe's might be helping out with some landscaping.
If you, or your group, would like to volunteer to help, you can contact Gray at 254-493-4000, or email tanya@keeptemplebeautiful.org and get on the volunteer list.
