Toddler Drowns in Pool in Central Texas

Bellmead authorities are investigating after a child who drowned in an apartment complex pool Sunday afternoon.

KWTX's Ke'Sha Lopez reports that the incident occurred during the middle of the day on Sunday. Authorities said that emergency workers responded to the Bordeaux Apartments where they found a three-year-old girl who was unconscious.

The crews tried numerous times to revive the toddler, but they were unsuccessful. The young girl was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Many authorities are unclear how the child even ended up in the pool. Bellmead Police Department continued their investigation Monday, and no other details have been released at this time.
