Vacant House Fire Under Investigation in Temple

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire at a vacant home on East Calhoun Avenue in Temple Saturday night.

Temple Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched to 108 ½ E. Calhoun at 8:18 PM. Upon arrival, they spotted smoke coming from the eves of a one-story brick house.

Crews searched the property and determined the smoke was coming from a storage building attached to the home. The fire was put out quickly, and no injuries were reported.

The site was cleared by 9:39 PM.
