Victim Identified in Deadly Centex Crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified a man who died in a fatal car crash in Coryell County on Friday afternoon.

Our news partners at KWTX report that he car crash was head-on, and the man that died in the crash was Lorenzo Wilson Jr, 26, of Killeen. The two vehicles collided head-on around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, on FM 116 near Bratton Road during heavy rain.

Wilson was heading in the southbound direction of FM 116 in his 2007 Buick Sedan, and he lost control of his vehicle on the wet road. Wilson crossed the path if 2017 GMC pickup truck that was heading in the northbound direction of FM 116.

Wilson died at the scene of the crash, and the driver of the pickup, William Thompson, 49, of Copperas Cove, was transported to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple. Information on the condition of Thompson was unavailable at the present time.
