They say that staff is being added to the Bell County and Lampasas driver's license offices next month in hopes of bringing down wait times thanks to a little help from the legislature. News 10 reports the additional staffing was reported by State Rep Brad Buckley (R. Salado).

In Killeen, two additional employees and three more workstations are coming to 5100 West Elms Road. The Department of Public Safety on Fort Hood will also see a staffing increase with two or three additional workers and an added workstation over there. Temple, they didn't forget you. Two more staffers are headed to that driver's license office and then the Lampasas office will add at least one more as well.

Buckley told News 10 that wait times at the Bell County Driver's license facilities are something residents complain to him about an awful lot. He says the House Appropriations Committee agreed that staffing was an issue state-wide.
