Border Agents Seize More Than $196K in Cocaine in Laredo
A 20-year-old suspect is in custody after U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents reportedly found more than $196,000 worth of cocaine in his possession during a routine check at the Texas-Mexico border.
The man's Buick Skylark was selected for expansion on the Juárez–Lincoln International Bridge on October 13. KENS-TV reports that agents found 10 packages containing a total of 25.44 pounds of coke.
The driver, who is reportedly from Laredo, was taken into custody.
