KWTX's Taina Maya reported that a Central Texas couple escaped a fire early Friday morning in the Central Texas area.

The fire took place early Friday morning, and happened in the Waco suburb of Valley Mills. The fire occurred at a home in the Valley Mills area, and called for firefighters from the Valley Mills and Clifton area.

Firefighters were on the scene of the home on South 8th Street in Valley Mills around 4:00 a.m. early Friday morning. When the firefighters arrived, the house was filled with flames. Neighbors helped fire crews and the family at the scene.

The couple that lived at the home, and their dog were able to escape the home with no injuries. Witnesses at the scene said the couple had just moved in last weekend, and they they were renting the home.

The house has been called a total loss, and the family cars in the driveway were the only thing saved at the residence. The cause of the fire is still presently unknown at this time.
