KWTX's Rhyan Henson reports that an empty house that was for sale in Waco went up in flames early Thursday morning.

The fire took place at a residence near 18th Street and Lyle Avenue. Neighbors of the house said nobody has lived in the home in months, and that somebody was in the process of purchasing the home.

The fire occurred around 3:30 a.m., and fire crews on the scene took around 20 minutes to extinguish the flames. Four fire trucks were sent to the scene, because smoke was filling the neighborhood very quickly.

The cause of the fire has not been determined yet, and one neighbor thought it may have been caused by fireworks being shot early that morning.

No one was injured in the fire.
