Three former Penn State administrators involved in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal have been ordered to stand trial.

A district judge in Pennsylvania ruled Tuesday that prosecutors had ample evidence to warrant a trial for ex-athletic director Tim Curley, ex-President Graham Spanier and former vice president Gary Schultz after they allegedly failed to notify police about sexual misconduct allegations involving Sandusky. They are also said to have tried to cover up the misconduct to avoid scandal. The accused deny any guilt and say they believed Sandusky was innocent at the time the sexual abuse allegations came up.

Sandusky was convicted in 2012 on 45 counts of sexually abusing children.
