Men Struck While Crossing A Busy Local Highway
KWTX's Chelsea Edwards reports that a man was taken to a local hospital after being hit by a vehicle Sunday night.
The man was struck on US Highway 77 in Robinson by Wingate Drive. Waco authorities said that the auto pedestrian call came into them around 10:00 p.m..
Authorities said the 55-year-old man was trying to cross the highway and was hit by a vehicle coming down the highway.
The man was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center for very substantial injuries, including broken bones.
Investigators say the victim is a local resident who was wearing dark clothes as he crossed the roadway.. Waco authorities are still investigating the incident.
