KWTX's Matthew Ablon reported that an Oklahoma man was killed on Saturday night in the Central Texas area.

The Oklahoma man was killed after being hit by a sedan and an SUV. The man was involved in the car accident in the town of Axtell. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the death occurred around 9:17 p.m. on U.S. 84 by Beaver Lake Road.

Daniel Stours, 40, was the man who was killed at the scene. Stours walking in the roadway which led him to being hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban. A 2012 Toyota Camry followed and hit Stours once again.

Stours was wearing dark clothes when he was struck by the vehicles on the roadway, and was pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old and a 26-year-old were the drivers of the Suburban and Camry respectively.

There have been no charges filed in the investigation, and the Department of Public Safety is reminding pedestrians to wear bright clothes when walking day or night. Also, carry reflective material to make yourself more visible to potential drivers.
