Passenger Identified in Fatal Central Texas Crash

KWTX's Ke'Sha Lopez reported that a passenger in a fatal car crash in Central Texas has identified to the public.

The Texas Department of Public Safety identified to the public that the man killed in a two vehicle accident in Axtell on Saturday was Curt Persilver, 56.

Authorities responded to the crash on Saturday around 5:05 p.m.; on U.S. Highway 84 in the proximity of Beaver Lake Road.

Sgt. Ryan W. Howard, Public Information Officer said, "The initial investigation determined the driver of an SUV crashed into the rear of a car that was preparing to turn left onto a private drive."

The passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the driver was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Hospital in Waco. The status of the driver was reported to be critical at the present time.

No other injuries were reported in the crash, and the investigation of the crash is still presently ongoing.
