KWTX's Taina Maya reported that a shooting in Killeen involving police left one person dead on Wednesday morning.

Officers of the Killeen SWAT team arrived at a home on West Hallmark Drive on Wednesday morning around 5:45 a.m. to serve a "no knock" warrant to a suspected drug dealer. Killeen SWAT team officers surrounded the home, and were shortly dealing with gunfire from inside.

Killeen SWAT team officers blocked off numerous streets in the area around West Hallmark and warned the public to steer clear of 2nd Street and Priest Drive.

Authorities later announced on social media that the crime scene was secure and roads were safe.

Killeen authorities have confirmed that the person that was shooting from inside the home was James Scott Reed. Reed was shot and killed by the Killeen Swat team.

One officer was struck, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries were unknown at the time, and it's still too early to know who fired the fatal shot. Authorities are also unsure if anyone else was present at the home at the time of the shooting.
