Can you imagine being woken out of a dead sleep, dressing yourself in less than a minute, and running out to extinguish a blaze? If you're a firefighter, you don't have to. You just live it every day.

Temple Fire and Rescue crews were dispatched to the 100 block of South 27th Street at 2:31 AM Tuesday. Whey they arrived, they saw flames coming from the rear of a one-story house. They hurried inside to search for anyone who might be in need of help, but found no one. They quickly extinguished the flames, and the all-clear was given at 2:55 AM.

It appears no one was home when the fire started, so no residents were injured. Thankfully, no firefighters were inured either. The fire marshal is working to determine what exactly caused the building to catch fire.
