Temple Murder Suspect Arrested in San Angelo

One of Texas' Ten Most Wanted is now behind bars and awaiting extradition to Bell County.

Justin Slatton was wanted in connection to the April 13 double murder of Jonathan Hess and Vicente Hernandez in the 400 block of North 7th St. in Temple.

He was arrested Sunday in San Angelo, and remained in the Tom Green County Jail Monday pending transfer to Bell County. He faces two murder charges, as well as charges of providing false identification, burglary of a building, and possession of marijuana.

Slatton, who police say has ties to the Latin Kings gang and a long criminal history, was added to Texas' 10 Most Wanted List back in June.

In May, San Angelo police arrested another suspect in this case - 17-year-old Lupe Martinez Chappa III.
