KWTX's Chelsea Edwards reported that a two vehicle crash on Thursday sent four people to area hospitals with injuries.

The accident occurred around 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, and took place at the intersection of Rosewood Drive and Central Texas Expressway in Killeen.

The accident that took place involved a GNC Envoy and a pickup truck. The pickup truck was heading west on the Expressway, and the driver of the Envoy was turning north onto Rosewood when the collision took place.

The 26-year-old woman was driving the pickup truck; and was trapped in the wreckage after the collision occurred.

Firefighters were able to free her, along with her three-year-old passenger in the truck. Both were taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

The man driving the Envoy and the child that was with him; were taken to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights after the collision occurred.

The busy intersection was closed for about an hour, due to the wreckage at the scene.
