A 32-year-old man was arrested in Tyler Monday afternoon after threatening to open fire inside a Walmart.

KLTV-TV reports that police received a 911 call from an employee around 1:43 PM. The employee said a man had pulled a weapon and was threatening to start shooting people.

Police arrived at 1:47 PM and took 32-year-old Trumaine Washington into custody. He was taken to the Smith County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Police told KYTX-TV the suspect got into an argument with an employee. When the worker went to get a manager, Washington reportedly drew a handgun from his backpack, loaded it, cocked it, and threatened to open fire.

Thankfully no shots were fired.
